MEET DOT

With fragrances, you typically get either fresh and floral or warm and musky. It’s not often you find a nice blend of both. And personally, it’s tough to impress me with the fruity and floral scents… I’m strictly vanilla and coconut. But DOT Marc Jacobs has somehow combined the sweet and playful with the classic and grown-up creating a scent that makes my nose very happy! I was pleasantly surprised by how balanced all the different notes are: At first sniff, the juicy berry and jasmine notes pop right up; and after a moment the vanilla and musk settle in, making for a scent that’s both bright and elegant.

And the uniquely-designed bottle nicely reflects the personality of the scent! The color scheme (black, white, and red) is about as classic as it gets, but the butterflies and the one large pearl clearly make a statement: This fragrance oozes flirty femininity.

The colors and pattern of the bottle remind me so much of ladybugs— I love ladybugs! As a sign of good luck, it always made me so happy when one landed on me. So the bottle inspired me to add a little ladybug to each of my fingertips!! I added the white half moon just to maintain a touch of the playfulness that DOT Marc Jacobs exudes. And I threw on a pair of bright red lips to match, too. Hopefully this brings me ten times the luck!
