Mascara is arguably the most important beauty product to most women. In fact, many of us only throw on some mascara and head out the door every day! It makes us look fresh, sexy, and polished. And personally, I’m a stickler for a good mascara. I’ve tried many, many— the good and the bad— and found my tried and true picks! Here are my top three favorite mascaras:
Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara. I became hooked on the Eyeko mascaras about a year ago and the Skinny Brush Mascara is still among my favorites! Now, make no mistake: It’s the brush that’s skinny, not your lashes! This narrow brush with short bristles gets my lashes sky high with even just the first swipe, and the formula is rich and super black. It’s something you simply have to try to believe; the Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara gives my lashes the most striking transformation I’ve ever seen out of a mascara! Still my favorite.
Origins GinZing Brightening Mascara. The last place I’d expect to find a kick ass mascara is Origins… I count on Origins for natural, plant-based skincare. But sure enough their GinZing Brightening Mascara is now one of my favorites!! I am so impressed with this mascara: The fat brush combined with the Carnauba Palm formula makes for a lush, voluminous, and surprisingly long set of lashes. I get such a nice feathery look with this mascara, and my lashes stand up so tall! But thanks to this natural product, my lashes stay nice and soft.
Dior Diorshow Iconic Mascara. I remember trying the original Diorshow mascara a couple years ago… I also remember hating it! With all the hype surrounding the Diorshow mascara, I found it to be completely underwhelming. However, the Diorshow Iconic Mascara is a completely different story! To begin with, the brush is different; it’s got short, tightly packed bristles so it gives my lashes extreme length and definition. If you’re like me and didn’t like the Diorshow mascara, give the Iconic a try! You won’t be disappointed.

Eyeko is definitely one I want to try but I too was initially surprised when I saw the DiorShow on your list. I’m a lash fanatic myself and hated the DiorShow; I’ll have to look at the Iconic one now
My all time fave that I keep going back to is Lancome Hypnose Drama. Yet to find a mascara that matches (or surpasses) the volume, length and the intensity. Thank you for the suggestions!
Btw, I commented on your Simon post yesterday on your other site but the comment button didn’t seem to work. Thought you might wanna know, just in case it’s a site issue

I’m currently obsessed with Lancôme Hypnose Drama as well. The only downfall is that the formula is too wet which can cause clumping, but the intensity and volume is suberb. Have you tried Makeup Forever Smoky Lash mascara or YSL Volume Effet Faux Clis mascara? Just curious to know what you think of those two if tried.

Ohhh my gosh, the YSL Faux Cils is definitely one that I’ve tried and loved!!! I actually did a post on that mascara about a year ago, you can see it here: http://missmaven.com/2011/02/ysl-mascara-false-lashes-in-a-tube/
A very good pick! Haven’t tried the others but I’ll keep them in mind

Hello,
I tried the Eyeko and although I wanted to love it it didn’t work out for me, because it’s so so difficult to remove. Tried everything. I lose always some of my lashes when I try to wash it of, with cleanser or eye make-up remover. Even oil…..
I googled some reviews and a lot of women have exactly the same problem.

I would definitely say that’s the only drawback of this mascara, it’s very hard to take off. Although I use a remover oil and very gently rub through my lashes so I don’t lose any. Because I’m very careful it ends up taking a really long time to take them off! But I agree, for this reason it may not be for everyone.
