REVIEW: SONIA KASHUK BRONZERS

IMG_8617

It was about time I explored some new bronzers, and I just happened to see a new Sonia Kashuk bronzer in a magazine that looked really appealing. So I decided to make a late night trip to Target to pick it up and see what other goodies I could find from Sonia Kashuk!

Unfortunately my local Target was out of a lot of the Sonia Kashuk products, but I was able to grab the Bare Illuminating Bronzer in Goddess (which is the one I saw in the magazine) as well as the Undetectable Creme Bronzer in Rich Bronze. I loved the idea of a cream bronzer, especially since it’s summer and I always like using cream and liquid products in the warmer months over powders.

The Rich Bronze is a nice universal shade for most skin tones (up to medium/dark shades); it also comes in Warm Tan (which I wish they had at Target but they were sold out!) which is a lighter golden shade. The creamy formula feels super velvety when it goes on but quickly transforms into what looks like my skin. I wouldn’t say it dries to a powder finish… Now I see why they call it ‘undetectable’! I love using it for some light contouring and adding a bit of warmth to my face.

The Bare Illuminating Bronzer, on the other hand, is the one you want if you’re going for more drama!! Talk about glowing skin; this stuff is buildable so I can put on a little bit all over my face for an overall glow, (a stunning glow!) or I can up the amp by concentrating on contouring at my cheekbones and my hairline for an intense glowing bronze. I really  wish they had this exact formula in a golden highlighter because the glow is just unreal! I consider this to be one of those hidden gem products that everyone should know about… And at $12.99, everyone should have it!

Both bronzers come with a mirror compartment and an applicator sponge.

What do you use to apply both of these? I am very curious about the bronzer in particular. Thanks

For the cream bronzer I use a foundation brush, and for the powder bronzer I like to use an angled contour brush if I’m going heavy or a big fluffy powder brush if I’m just going for an overall glow. Stay tuned for videos!

That’s so funny. The target by me is always out of Sonia Kashuk’s products too. You should do a tutorial on how to apply a cream bronzer. I would love to see that and get some tips.

This one probably comes in handy when you have a nice darkish skin tone. I think I still, just fall into that group :) I have never tried it before, but I will. Thanks for this review, I’m always on a hunt for new products.
