If it’s products for dry, damaged hair you’re looking for, come to me. I’ve been through every possible hair disaster you can imagine! Bleach, overprocessing, heat styling… I’m surprised I still have hair left on my head. But I’ve made a commitment to rehabbing my hair and so far it’s going great: I’ve been getting so many comments on YouTube and Instagram saying that my hair has been looking so shiny and healthy… Never thought I’d see the day!

If you’ve kept up with my blog you know I’ve been using the Joico product line to help bring my hair back to life, but I’ve spoken to so many stylists over the years who have suggested switching up or rotating shampoo and conditioner so hair doesn’t ‘get used to’ any one product. As I understand it, it becomes less effective over time if you’re using the same product. So my personal preference is to have between two and three stellar product lines to rotate between.

Recently I was sent some of the Schwarzkopf Professional BC Hair Therapy Repair Rescue products to try: I have the Repair Rescue shampoo and conditioner as well as the Repair Rescue Treatment. Apparently this particular product line is designed to repair the hair from the inside at a cellular level, which is something I haven’t encountered before so I was very eager to try it. It’s been about 6 weeks since I first started using the Rescue Repair line, and I have to say I’m reluctant to even rotate out with other products! This stuff is the real deal: My hair is shiny like I’ve never seen it, my ends look much healthier and fuller, and the best part is that none of the products are heavy or too creamy. A lot of times with products that are meant to restore damaged hair, they tend to be very thick and creamy formulas. And my first impression of the Schwarzkopf products was that they were so lightweight, I wasn’t even sure it was going to do anything for my hair.

To my excitement, it’s been working wonders for my stressed hair! I only wash my hair on average two times a week, so I use the Repair Rescue Treatment (also a lightweight formula but an absolute miracle worker) every third wash.

If you’re dealing with extra damaged hair (say, too much color treating or heat damage) the Repair Rescue line is a fantastic option and you can find it at Ulta.

    Hi Teni,

Love your tutorials and love you on instagram! I will definitely try this range too.

Can you recommend a heat spray/cream for blow drying and straightening damaged/dry hair? Or a heat defense styling product…

    Thank you so much!
