Hi Teni, I’m having a problem posting your your “Get to know me” video on YT. Thank you for sharing! I love watching your videos, and follow your blog. My hair is JUST like yours!! I also have a really tough time covering my grays – they stand out so much against almost black hair (at least I feel it does on me). How do you color? How do you maintain the color? Weird questions, I know, but I would love to know your tips. Thank you!!! :-)

Hi! I know, YouTube has been weird lately… I can’t even reply to some comments. But glad you wrote me here! So for my grays, I actually have a color and developer at home that I use just to cover them up. It’s a dark brown Royal Igora color by Schwarzkopf and I use a developer specifically for gray hair. I decided to do this at home because the color eventually fades or the gray grows out, so it’s easy to touch them up at home instead of having to go to the salon. So anytime I see them, I’ll mix a little bit of color and use a hair color brush to paint over the grays. You have to leave it on for a long time when it comes to gray hairs. So usually I’ll leave it for 30-45 minutes and then shampoo.

Thank you! Thank you!!! I am going to search for this hair color. What percent developer do you use? I wish I could give you a hug!! It has been so stressful finding a solution. Again, thank you for helping a dark haired sister! :-)

my pleasure! :) I’ve used a 30 developer and I’ve also used a specifically gray developer– that one doesn’t have a percent on it, but if you ask at the beauty supply to get you a developer for coloring grays, they’ll know what to get you. Again, make sure you give it enough time to process because grays take a while to really catch color, so go for 30-45 minutes. Sending you a hug!

I’m rushing out right now to pick these up. I am soooooo thankful for your help. I know you are a beauty expert, but I wanted to share my hair secret – Alterna Caviar Repair Protein cream (in the tube). You mentioned you have course frizzy hair (like me) in your YT video. Use a quarter sized amount all over on damp shampooed hair and blow dry. You will get the most softest and most perfect blow dry. Salon-worthy hair EVERY TIME!! :-) (yt id = flamingopink9)

Teni, I just tried watching your Hair Vlog on YouTube and I’m not able to access it at this time, there may be a glitch with YouTube. I have been using Schwartzkopf Color Treated Conditioner and Hair Rescue. I developed such a dry scalp and still do after I use them. I only wash my hair once every 7 days. I’ve had to do Coconut Oil and Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar hair treatment, just to get the dead skin off. They have a lot of chemicals in their conditioner and I’m wondering if you can recommend an organic brand or any other conditioner that won’t be as harsh on the scalp. Our bathroom looks like a salon, with so many products and I really need a good conditioner soon. I have naturally curly hair, but have been blowing it out a lot fall. Can you also recommend a heat protection product for blow drying as well? Thanks so much!

Personally I like buffing in cream foundations with either the F80 or F82, or applying with the F86. If you’re into foundation brushes, the F60 is great. :) All of these options will work great for cream foundation, it’s just a matter of what you’re most comfortable using.

Hello! I want to buy a brush set from Sigma and was wondering what you would recommend? This would be my first purchase from them and would like to have a brush set that has good brushes for both the face & eyes. Thanks!
