Making a decision to get cosmetic surgery on your face is pretty serious and, most of the time, irreversible! But thanks to makeup you can create some pretty awesome (and risk-free) illusions. One of my latest posts on DivineCaroline.com is a guide for how to fix three issues with your nose: A crooked nose, a ‘hanging’ or ‘hooked’ appearance, and a bulbous tip.

Here’s a photo of me after I contoured the tip of my nose for a more slim appearance:

I have a rather large bump on the bridge of my nose, and while I can’t do much to hide it in real life interactions, contouring definitely helps hide it in photos. Great post, Teni :)

Gotta love makeup!! :) I do the same thing, I have a slight bump on my bridge and I just narrow it out by darkening the parts that stick out. Great trick, I’m glad you’re using it!

You know, sometimes people decide surgery is the right option for them, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Personally, I’m too chicken to do it lol. So this is a ‘no-risk’ way to change up the appearance slightly!

I always recommend liquid or cream products, and a lot of times brands don’t have really dark options to contour with. I can recommend Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, they get pretty dark… As well as Motives Cosmetics, they also cater to darker skin tones very well!! Anddd… I’ve got a little surprise up my sleeve that I can’t say much about but I’ll be releasing details in the next 2-3 weeks and it has to do with contouring for all complexions. :)

Using making tricks is far better than cosmetic surgery, that’s my opinion anyways. So thank you Teni for showing these tricks :)

Can you please tell me what color or shade # you used to contour? Do you have a drugstore alternative for the higher end foundations you use to highlight and contour? Could you please include the names and names of the shade or number of those as well pleeeease . I have the same skin tone and its been sooooo difficult to find the right highlight / contouring shade so it would be amazing if I could something that would finally work for me! Thank you !!!! Your beautiful and so are all your makeup tutorials.
