WEEKENDER: DESERT CHIC

The desert is one of my favorite places to be. It’s less than 2 hours away from LA, the weather is almost always perfect, and the scenery is as calm and serene as a vacation spot gets. My usual destination when I’m headed out east is Palm Springs, but my girlfriends and I set out on a weekender to Rancho Mirage, not far from Palm Springs. We were celebrating my good friend Anasheh’s birthday, just us girls, and the goal was pretty simple: Lay out by the pool, enjoy a nice dinner, and celebrate! Of course there’s not much else to do out in the desert besides golf and lay out. And sometimes we need just that: A break from the fast-paced craziness of life to just slow down.

Being in the desert reminds me so much of the American southwest; in fact I decided to dress accordingly for dinner on Saturday night! I went with a pair of tribal print pants and a crop top from elle a., perfect for the warm weather. I paired the outfit with tan boot sandals from Zara (which just came in the mail and I’m obsessed with!) and a necklace from Forever 21 with turquoise accents. I also added a brushed gold bangle and a cuff bracelet from Madewell to finish off the look.

And if you happened to notice my awesome yellow nail polish it’s called Bianca by Carolyn K., it’s the perfect bright accent for this ensemble!

Love this outfit! So versatile as it can be worn more casual or dressed up with a pair of heels :)
