Over the weekend I took some time to head up to Napa for my friend Ashley’s wedding. I was reunited with my college girlfriends to celebrate another beautiful union, and luckily it was at one of the most beautiful destinations in California.

Since this was a weekend road trip, I definitely didn’t pack too much… Just the essentials! Normally I wouldn’t take much makeup with me for a mini vacation, but since it was a wedding, I needed a few must-haves to beautify myself and be camera-ready.

EcoTools Day to Night Set

A good brush set is a must for any weekend getaway. For Napa I took my Day to Night Set with me because it’s comprehensive and simple: I can create a simple and natural look, or I can amp it up for something a little more dramatic. But still, since we were in Saratoga, I wasn’t really going for an intense makeup look. The Day to Night Set was perfect for a simple yet elegant look!

Sisley Phyto Teint Expert All-Day Long Flawless Skincare Foundation

This foundation is one of my few extra splurge items. It’s a pretty pricey foundation, but it works perfectly for day and night, and it stays on like nothing I’ve ever tried before! The finish is a stunning velvety matte, but my skin never looks dull or one dimensional; I still have a healthy radiance about my skin that I only get with this foundation. I absolutely love it! It’s such a lightweight formula for the amount of coverage it gives.

EcoTools Pure Complexion Sponge

I don’t mess around when it comes to cleansing, most especially when I’m away and my skin is exposed to different environments. The EcoTools Pure Complexion Sponge is something I use at home all the time, and it’s very easy to take along with me when I travel. It’s compact and simple to use with any cleanser, so even if I’m using one of those hotel cleansers, I know I’ll get a deep clean with my Konjac sponge!

EcoTools Sleek + Shine Finisher Hair Brush

Ever since I started using the EcoTools Full Volume Styler to blow out my hair I not only stopped using any other brush, but I also got into the habit of using the Sleek + Shine Finisher. I blow dried my hair before I set out for Napa, but once I was there I styled my hair with a combination of a curling rod and this magic brush. Once I put the waves in my hair, I gave it a gentle brush through with the Sleek + Shine Finisher to give the look a nice polished finish.

Lush Feeling Younger Skin Tint

Ever since this product came onto my radar I have been head over heels in love with it! It’s a very subtle highlighter that I can use on my skin by itself, mix it with my foundation for a luminous glow, or layer it over my foundation for that killer highlight. It’s that multitasking product that I’ll take with me on practically any trip.

I’ve been lusting over that Sisley foundation! What shade do you use? (We’re the same colour in MUFE HD and GA Luminous Silk!)

Ahhh, you were in my neck of the woods. I’m from Sonoma County (right next to Napa County). Did you have a blast there? Its SO beautiful in Napa. Did you visit any of the hot springs? Saratoga has some nice ones, along with Calistoga too.
