OOTD: AFFORDABLE AIRPORT STYLE
This morning as I was leaving New York I posted a photo to Instagram of my outfit. Now, I have to be honest: I’m just getting used to dressing like a decent human being to the airport… I’m normally accustomed to showing up in a pair of Hardtails and a sweatshirt, but I’m giving this dressing-up-to-the-airport a chance!
Of course comfort is paramount when it comes to being at the airport and on a plane. And since the only flats I ever wear are Toms, Havaianas, or chucks, (come on, I’m from California) I’ve got a knack for finding really comfortable heels. The ones I wore to the airport today are the Prabal Gurung for Target lace-up black heels. I know these aren’t available at Target stores anymore, but you can still find them on Ebay. It won’t be at the original retail price of $39.99, but you’ll find it at somewhere between $60 and $90, which is still a great price for shoes!
The jacket I’m wearing is one of my absolute favorites: It’s a lightweight camo jacket with black faux leather sleeves and silver spiked studs at the shoulders. It’s also got a drawstring at the waist that allows for the perfect fit on anyone. It’s both edgy and casual, and you can wear it day or night. Best of all, it’s from Forever 21!!! I got this jacket for just $49.50, and I get compliments on it everywhere I go. It’s still online (even a couple bucks cheaper), you can find it here.
And just a tip for airports and planes: Always take a jacket, it gets very chilly.
As for my jeans and my black top, they’re both from Zara. I love the jeans there because they always fit like a dream and they’re much less expensive than my designer jeans. I bought the black basic top recently and it was just under 20 bucks.
