I love these colors together… It’s perfect for springtime and it’s still an everyday, wearable look. I used The Resort Palette from Sigma to create this look… Check out my tutorial on YouTube!

I used Topaz, Papaya, Moonbeam, and Luna on my eyes, as well as the Earth Goddess eye pencil. I also used the Heavenly blush and the Luminesce highlighter for a radiant look.

On my lips I have the Girlactik Star Gloss in “Just Nude,” and to fill in my eyebrows I used the IT Cosmetics Your Brows But Better pencil. On my lashes? One of my favorites: Origins GinZing Mascara!

I have a new favorite palette that I’m just crazy about, and it comes just in time for spring and summer! The trouble with most spring and summer palettes is that all the colors end up being way too bright and funky… Essentially unusable for the average chick. But the Limited Edition Resort Palette from Sigma packs the perfect balance of vibrant hues as well as gorgeous neutrals! They really picked the ideal bunch of colors: Muse, Fawn, Luna, and Topaz satisfy all the neutrals, while Papaya, Moonbeam, Neela, and Midori bring all the brightness and fun to this palette! Mixing the neutrals and the brights allows for a wearable look on any given day. Or you can wear just the neutrals (which I’m obsessed with! Luna will brighten up your eyes like you wouldn’t believe) or stick to the brights for a poolside playful look.

These colors you simply have to see to appreciate. And I love that they stuck with a neutral coral tone blush to keep the focus on the beautiful shadow colors. The highlighter in Luminesce is an absolute must for spring and summer for a nice dewy look, and the double-ended pencil in Daydream and Earth Goddess is long lasting and waterproof, so you can wear it to the beach or the pool any day!

Look out for a tutorial (maybe more than one… So many possible combinations with this palette!) coming soon. Meanwhile you can pick up the Limited Edition Resort Palette here, and be sure to use discount code AAM2013 for the month of April to get 10% off!

Red and pink are usually the colors that come to mind when we think of a bold lip color. But purple is it! In this photo I’m wearing “Up The Amp” by MAC… It’s my favorite lipstick right now. It’s just the perfect vibrance and hue, and the photo actually makes it look even brighter; in person, it’s still conservative enough to wear to dinner or even during the day.

I wore it last night to dinner with my college roomies. Every year we have our own Valentine’s Day celebration together and this year we decided to spend it at Le Oyster Bar in Silverlake!
